I’m already overwhelmed

I haven’t even started anything. Just trying to get the list together. On all the wedding websites (yes, I subscribed to all of them) they say you should get your list together so you have an idea of how many people you are dealing with. It’s looking like we are going to go to a destination with just our family and bridal party and then have two receptions. One in Illinois and one in Boston.  I just feel so strained already. This is not a good sign. My mom is just like “oh we can go to Aruba and find a rock and you can get married there.” I’m like “no, I don’t think so. It has to be planned and nice and I want to go to the location and check it out first.” This is going to be quite the process. I wish I could just go to the court house now but Austin to that option off the table.

I did actually get more done at work today. But it’s only 2pm – so I still have lots of time to waste.

He asked…

So the long awaited engagement story is here! Yes, Austin and I went to Paris..and yes, we got engaged..very exciting! We got there on Friday and spent the day learning our way around. The on Saturday we did all the major tourist attractions and ended at the Eiffel Tower. Although it was raining, Austin still wanted to go all the way to the top. As we went up in the elevator he was completley calm. I never suspected anything. Yes, everyone knows I was hoping it would happen. But, I didn’t really think it would. It still feels very weird and surreal, As we walked out on the top of the tower we were looking into the foggy skyline. It was amazing – even thought we couldn’t see much..It was just amazing. We were standing there and Austin said, “Wow, this is amazing, huh?” I said, “Yeah, it’s is really cool.” Austin said,” I’m sorry I couldn’t ask you to marry me. I know you really wanted that to happen. But if I could would you say yes?” I responded with “of course!”. He got out the ring opened the box and said,”well will you marry me?” I then said, “are you for real about 27 times and he asked if I was going to say yes. Which I did. I cried all the way back to the hotel I was so happy. And now the hell begins. It’s 10:38 a and I haven’t accomplished much at work yet..getting through 5 days of emails can take awhile.

We spent the rest of the time in Paris walking the city and checking out museums and sights. We also went to Versaille one day. It was a really amazing trip! I have pictures on my Myspace and Facebook and they are also on Kodak Gallery. If you need the link just let me know.

Leavin on a jet plane…

Unfortunately, I do know when I will be back again. We leave for Paris tonight! YAY! I am so excited. I’ll try to post when we are over there. But, I can’t wait to tell you all of the details.

I just spent like $50 on itunes

In preparation for our trip, I just bought a shit load of songs on itunes. The countdown begins

So sorry long time no write. Last week was madness..Friday I had a meeting in Plymouth – about 45 min. from Boston..in light of the Blizzard it took me 5 hours to get home..yes 5! I was in the house basically all weekend. I left on Sunday to go to weight watchers and that was it..I was hibernating..

Lost another 1.2 pounds last week. That makes my total 10.8 in eleven weeks. On track..but I wish it would go a little faster.

Austin’s lovely rent – a – ptcruiser leaked oil all over the driveway and now he has a minivan! He is supposed to get his car back Wednesday.

We leave on Thursday for Paris! I am getting excited but a little nervous. I hate being gone from work that long. I fear that I am going to come back and everything will be disscombobulated (sp?). I like things done a certain way and the new office manager is getting into the habit of changing everything I have done. Bad move mister!

Tom Green and RuPaul

So, back to poor Michael’s dilemna  – we are still reaching out to celebrities. We know RuPaul’s rep. and then Michael found Tom Green’s rep. So, we are at lunch and I’m singing RuPaul” Work, cover girl! Work! Do your thang on the dance floor! Work!” and Michael goes, “I can see it now. RuPaul: You can change just like I did!” and then I say “My bum is on the CFL!” It was hilaious! A CFL is a curly Q light bulb that everyone should replace all their light bulbs with! That is what our campaign is mostly about! Saving energy! Can you imagine a PSA with RuPaul and Tom Green?? Freaking hilarious!

We are in trouble..when it comes to walking

First – I went to the gala and it was a lot of fun. Via a raffle, I won a Microsoft Zune. Which is  Microsoft’s iPod essentially. It’s pretty cool – we decided to keep it – however we will probably use it mostly for movies. We can buy movies cheap from the site and then hook the zune up to the tv and watch.

When it comes to walking in Paris, we are in trouble. Austin and I were gone on Sat. from 11am to 9pm. We started at Costco and while we were waiting for my tires we did our shopping – so that was 2.5 hours of straight walking though Costco. Then we went to Lowe’s (more walking) – then we got my oil changed (sitting) – then we hit the mall. It was a solid 3 hours of walking around the mall. That night – I felt like I was ran over by a mack truck. I need to walk everyday from now until we leave (next Thursday) to be ready or else! That’s a week and a half to essentially get into shape. I don’t think that’s possible.

WW update: no loss or gain this week. So my total weight loss is 9.6 still. I am so damn close to 10 pounds. I just want to reach that mark! I’m on a mission this week. I want to loose 2 pounds. We will see. so far today I am off to a good start. I’ll keep you posted.

Going to a gala..and we’re gonna have a good time (sing to “going to the chapel”)

So tonight is the long awaited Mardi Gras Madness for Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Bri and I will be there and volunteering our little butts off. Hopefully a lot of people show up. It should be fun!

So poor Michael has been calling and emailing celebs for like the last two weeks to cut PSA’s for this Energy efficiency campaign he is working on. He hasn’t gotten very far. Does anyone have contacts to a celeb that we could out reach. The thing that sucks is that there is no budget for this. These celebs would have to do it for free. Our boss has been on him like flies on shit to get this done. I hope something pans out soon. Everyone keep their fingers crossed.

Nothing else really planned for the weekend. Just relaxing and maybe some shopping for the trip to Paris. Oh! and my french has not gotten any better. We are in serious trouble if I have to speak to anyone.

Gisele is prego!!

For all you new englanders..Gisele Bunchden (sp?) Leo Dicaprio’s ex and Tom Brady’s newest squeeze (Patriot’s QB) may have two women prego!! Two weeks ago his previous flame Bridgett Monyhan (sp?) came out that she was knocked up by him and now Gisele. This boy needs to learn what a condom is – or how to pull out! Excuse the vulgarity – but geez. He’s gonna have his own football team by the time he is done.

So we didn’t end up going to the French restaurant. I cancelled the reservation. I did go to Mantra last night with Bri and Kelly. The main meal was great! The app (tomato soup) and dessert (creme brulee) were for the birds. The soup was just blah and the creme brulee was like cheese cake. You know it’s supposed to be crispy on the top and almost liquidy on the inside – this stuff was stiff. Nothing liquidy about it. Not to mention the service was poop. They didn’t seem like they cared we were there. However, they should count their blessings. Bri said she has been there on a week night and it was dead. It totally would have been dead had it not been for restaurant week. There was no one at the bar..no one waiting for a table – they better watch it!

It’s almost Friday! That’s all that matters!

Austin is currently in the emergency room…again…

We have spent way to much time at hospitals lately.. between the both of us we know enough about them to open our own! He got rear-ended this morning by like a F350 truck..this makes 5 accidents in his mercedes. Talk about an unlucky car. His back and neck are hurting badly so he decided to go to the er. I should probably go – but he said he is fine. He car is trashed..he already got his rental car and guess what kind it is (this is the best part) a PT Cruiser! HA!! Austin in a PT Cruiser is freaking hilarious. We also have dinner reservations tonight and he won’t let me cancel them..I think I’m going to cancel anyway – I don’t want him driving around. I’m sure they are going to give him pain medication and he can’t be driving all over the city.

Thank god he finally got health insurance!
