NKOTB – Best concert ever!!
So, I took Austin to NKOTB last night – he was a good sport. Can I just tell you — it was the BEST concert ever. It was like being 7 all over again…screaming girls, awesome dancing, not a care in the world. I remembered all the dances especially oh, oh, oh, oh, oh — the right stuff! You know that little leg dance they did (you are doing it now..don’t lie) and of course everyone’s favorite “hangin’ Tough” – the best!!
There were two slightly strange things however, one, the girl to the left of us and the girl to the right of us were there by THEMSELVES and when “Please Don’t go Girl” was sung they were balling uncontrollably. Do people really think they are going to go with Jordan, Donny, Danny, Jonathan or Joey? I mean these dudes are like 30 years old, I think most of them are married with kids. Just because they thrust their crotch at you and run around on stage with no shirt does not mean they are taking you home — come on! I must admit though where did Jordan Knight get a body like that — damn!
The second disturbing thing was that groups of guys were in attendance clearly to pick up girls, however, we did see one real true guy fan. About 3 rows in front of us (did I mention we were in the 16th row!!!) a middle-aged man with a flat top was belting away the lyrics with Joey! Austin and I couldn’t believe it! Hilarious. He knew every single word – calendar girl, summertime, please don’t go girl, everyone — every single word.
What a great concert. If they are coming to a city near you, you should for sure check it out!
One more thing, Joey informed the crowd that “Word Up” is gay and out-dated. The new phrase is “Let’s Get this”…Do you want to go the gym? Let’s get this.. Do you want to go the NKOTB concert? Let’s get this..Do you want to go to McDonald’s? Let’s get this…spread the word!

GREEK – Abc Family
For once, I LOVE a show on tv about greek life. GREEK on ABC Family is the most realistic fraternity/sorority show I have ever seen. I would love to meet the writers because if they aren’t greek I would be in shock. Everything from IFC to chapter meetings to philanthropy to sorority drama — it is all correct. The only thing that isn’t the same as most chapters is that they seem to go through a whole year of being a pledge.
The actors in the show are perfect. The presidents act like for real presidents and pledges act like for real pledges.
It is a great show — if you haven’t seen it you should check it out.

What a Sunday!
Wow! The weekend was interesting. So, we had been planning this outdoor jazz and blues festival for a little over 8 months now and hurricane hannah decided to make its way up to Boston! Fabulous. Saturday went on as planned by three songs into our final act – the flood gates opened and ended the concert. Sunday was gorgeous!! I think we actually had a record turnout. Somewhere between 1200 – 2000 people is what we are thinking.
However, the day didn’t start off or end with success. Walking down the PUBLIC sidewalk – I was bit in the knee by a little black dog..maybe a poodle or something I don’t know – it SHREDDED my pants leg. I was like “Oh my god! I just got bit by a dog.” The old man owner was like, “Sorry, ma’am. You got to close to my dog.” I was like, “okay, I was just walking down the damn sidewalk.” I was almost in shock I think – so I didn’t think much about it. Nor did he bother to pay for my pants. I then rolled up my pants and saw that I was bleeding! The little shit dog bit me hard! So, I went up to the main house and got a bandaid and went on about my day. (This was at 10am). Concert goes off without a hitch everyone couldn’t be happier – wonderful – wonderful. Go out to the parking lot to leave (at 6pm) and whadda ya know. My car won’t start.
Enough said!
